So, this exciting blog is to let you you know that we will be making some changes to our Privacy Notice, which will be effective from May 25th. These changes will reflect the increased transparency requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (known as the ‘GDPR’)
Although the GDPR follows the general EU data protection principles, it creates many new and improved rights for individuals and new obligations for those who process any kind of personal data. It also defines how ‘processing’ of personal data is considered – “Any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means. Such operations include, among others, collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data.”
To put it simply – processing includes everything that is done with personal data by an organization, giving you control over who contacts you and how exactly they can reach you.

Over the next few weeks, we will be putting the finishing touches to our internal processes and procedures, which align our business with the new GDPR legislation. We have also acquired various levels of encryption and security around our IT infrastructure that will further enhance the ways in which we help and protect ourselves against digital foul play.
